SIBCO presents its new, low cost, 156mm IBC cell, Eff 21%, and IBC module technology at the SNEC 2012 show in Shanghai. The technology is very well received and despite the difficulties in the PV market this IBC technology will allow PV companies to differentiate and grab the increasing market for high efficiency modules.
SIBCO's IBC module has a CTM loss of < 1% resulting in 60 cell modules of 297 - 300Wp!

SIBCO and its engineering team successfully complete the testing of a new material system for back contact modules that reduces the cost of the material system with 20%. This material system is now ready for introduction to its back contact customers worldwide.

SIBCO China signs a contract to become the exclusive representative for HANITA Coatings in China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.
HANITA Coatings is the only supplier of reliable fluoropolymer coated back sheets and back contact sheets for PV modules.
This FP coating leads to significant cost reduction meeting the current cost-down requirements of the PV industry.

SIBCO ships the first EUROTRON 180 - 190MW back contact module assembly line after a very successful factory acceptance test where MWT modules were manufactured with 250 - 260Wp output based on MWT cells with 17.2% efficiency. CTM power loss ranges from -1 - +0.5%.
